Shay in West LA

I was very fortunate to be able to spend a day on a creative shoot with Shay, an actress/model and former Miss Universe contestant.  We got the ball rolling early in the morning in Hollywood with the insanely talented Mickey Hernandez handling the make up and hair and then rambled through LA’s Westside.  Delicious food and espresso in Venice powered us through the day’s shoot.  An evening wrap found our little caravan headed back to Hollywood for drinkies and dining.  A glorious day!

Shooting film can be so liberating; no computers, no tethering, no batteries, no cables, no chimping; just my light meter and camera.  It really helps you stay present, in the moment.
